Topics

Marriage can be beautiful — and it can be hard. Here are the conversations we have (and the ones many people avoid), handled with compassion, scripture, and practical steps.

“Let all that you do be done in love.” – 1 Corinthians 16:14

TOPIC OF THE MONTH — FEBRUARY

Your Word For Me

February is about the power of words in marriage — the words we speak, the words we withhold, and the words we need to hear to feel safe, loved, respected, and understood. We’ll talk about speaking with grace, correcting without crushing, and using communication to heal rather than harm.

Scripture for this month

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” – Proverbs 18:21

A starting prayer

“Lord, put Your words in my mouth. Teach me to speak with love, patience, and truth. Heal our home through the way we talk.”

A conversation starter

“When you talk to me, what words make you feel respected? And what words make you feel attacked? Let’s be honest—gently.”

A small step

For 7 days, replace one harsh sentence with a soft one. Speak the truth, but remove the poison (tone, sarcasm, insults).

Also remember

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good…” – Ephesians 4:29

And this

“A gentle answer turns away wrath…” – Proverbs 15:1

Tip: If you’re not sure where your issue fits, start with Communication. Most marriage pain grows louder when couples stop feeling safe to talk.
